Abbey Melsheimer

A small town girl with big ambitions.
I grew up in a quaint city in Ohio. The sort of place ‘where everybody knows you name’ (kind of like Cheers). The first chance I got after graduation I moved to New York. My father’s first visit to NYC was with me, my mom and all of my belongings in a Uhaul. Boy am I thankful for having parents who believe in me!! That move taught me a lot of things in life and play a big role in who I have become today – a creative, a wanderlust and an advocate for wellbeing.

Design

Where the artist in me prevails.
Design has been an integral part of my life from when I was a child and spending time at my father’s shop surrounded by paints, tiles and wallpapers. Having studied both interior design as well as graphic design my portfolio of work ranges from large corporate interiors to event activations, from environmental graphics to brand identities, and from printed collateral to digital experiences. Through all of this I have learned that my passion lies in creating seamless experiences for users no matter what medium. Design is limitless and new challenges excite me. My design career has taken me from New York, London, Shanghai and Miami working with companies large and small.

Travel

Where I seek inspiration and indulge in culture and cuisine.
Traveling is a huge part of who I am. I believe it is a result of curiosity more than anything and being eager to learn more about what is out there in the world. There is something contagious in discovering unknown territories, meeting new people and feeling of all of your senses heightened to the max. Travel inspires my designs and teaches me a little something about myself along the way.

Wellness

Where I strive to feel my best and inspire other to do the same.
Whether through yoga, mindfulness, nutrition or simply trying new recipes, I am constantly learning about what is best for my body and how I can share my knowledge with others. Of course we are all different and different things work for different people, but there are some basic foundations that we all need like movement of the body and specific nutrients each day. As a registered yoga instructor (RYT) my practice keeps me grounded (which as a wanderlust is something that I need!). I am constantly trying new recipes and sharing my journey to inspire healthy living for everyone.
