4-6 ripe hass avocados
1/4 cup tomato
1/4 cup red onion
1/2 bunch of cilantro
Fresh lime juice (to taste)
Himalayan salt (to taste)
Fresh ground pepper
Jalapeño (optional to taste)
Hot sauce of choice (optional to taste)
(If you’re looking for a hot sauce recommendation these are awesome – El Yuca Habanero Sauce).
Dice the red onion. Core, seed and dice the tomato. Dice the jalapeño (if you are using it). Finely chop a handful of cilantro. Scoop out the avocado into a large bowl and add the red onion, tomato, jalapeño and cilantro. Squeeze the juice of half of the lime into the bowl and combine either using a mortar and pestle or simply with a fork in a large bowl. The mortar and pestle allow you to grind the ingredients a bit more than a traditional fork releasing more flavor. Don’t worry, if you don’t have a mortar and pestle it will still be delicious! Once combine taste the mixture, then add hot sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
